Skyler Hopkins, Middlebury standout and Banks Boutté founded Catch! Lacrosse in March, 2014 as a response to what we perceived to be a growing need in the world of youth lacrosse - fundamental skill development. Their idea was simple - start a program that isn't focused on winning championships or being the best individual team, but instead helps players develop knowledge of the game, improve communication skills (both on and off the field), learn how to work as part of a team, and how to handle adversity with confidence and integrity. To do this, they developed their own unique approach to teaching the sport of lacrosse through high-repetition training in a small group setting. Whether you're just getting started or have been playing for years, they strive to give each player autonomy over the learning process through highly individualized instruction and new-look drills and games that force players to apply their skills in a dynamic learning environment.

Catch offers year-round training, monthly Catch!Cup tournaments, weekend camps, coach training workshops and school outreach programs all geared towards building a robust lacrosse community in Los Angeles and giving our student-athletes a truly unique educational experience. Skler says, “we are honored and humbled by the opportunity to make Lacrosse our life's work, and to work as a team to share our passion and collective experience with anyone who cares to listen.” Take some time to explore their site and, as always, feel free to reach out to share your story with Catch!
